In 1971, Alex Teshin and a partner established a design and illustration company (House of Graphics) in California’s Silicon Valley that went on to become providers of high-quality graphic services to major publishers and Silicon Valley companies.

Publishers include: Addison-Wesley, Benjamin/Cummings, Klutz Press, Mayfield, McGraw-Hill, Scholastic, Science Research Associates, Simon & Schuster, Wadsworth and Wiley.

Companies include: Advanced Micro Devices, Agilent Technologies, Apple Computer, Applied Materials, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, KLA-Tencor and Varian.

In 1989 Alex acquired 100% interest in the company, changed the name to Teshin Associates, and continued to move the company forward as a pioneer in electronic graphics and desktop publishing solutions.

In 1995, Teshin Associates added the capability of large format printing, laminating and mounting services for trade show graphics, display posters and large photo prints and moved this part of the company to Sonora, California. Three years later, with the advent of high-speed computer communication lines, the company was consolidated under one roof in Sonora.
